Rate Antigravity on a Scale of 1 to 10 (Honestly, I’m giving it a 5/10 right now)

Google seems obsessed with scaling models while entirely ignoring infrastructure and actual developer experience. My time with the latest Antigravity updates? Absolute worst.

Here’s my current tier list for dev environments:

  1. Opencode (My Custom Setup): 8/10

  2. Cursor: 7/10

  3. Anthropic Tools: 8/10

  4. Google Antigravity & Gemini CLI: 5/10

The frequent rate limits are one thing, but the insane bugs—like the IDE constantly freezing or choking on its own hidden context folders—are a massive bottleneck. When you’re trying to push through a final-year IoT air quality project and just need your React/FastAPI stack to run smoothly, you can’t be fighting your own tools to get a polished result.

Meanwhile, open-source (like Void or Cline) and Chinese AI ecosystems (like DeepSeek) are absolutely crushing it. They give us the freedom to build custom frameworks and offer actual stability without the corporate panic and forced, broken updates.

Google needs a massive wake-up call. Frameworks and infra matter just as much as the models.

What is your rating for Antigravity right now? Are you sticking it out, or jumping ship to open-source where you actually have control?
