Provide a Built-in File & Asset Explorer in Antigravity 2.0 Desktop App for Non-Developers

Description: I am writing to share feedback regarding the workspace experience in the Antigravity 2.0 Desktop Application, specifically from the perspective of a non-developer/low-code user.

The Problem with “Open IDE” for Non-Technical Users: Currently, when a user needs to inspect the project directory or make minor file adjustments, the application prompts them to click the “Open IDE” button in the top-right corner.

However, for a non-developer, opening a heavy, full-scale coding IDE (like the Antigravity IDE) is overwhelming and confusing. Non-technical users do not need code-focused features, and being forced into an IDE environment causes significant cognitive overload.

Real-world Non-Developer Workflows: Non-developers frequently need to interact with project assets manually:

  1. Lightweight Manual Edits: Many times, I just want to manually open and modify a few cells in an Excel spreadsheet, rather than delegating every single micro-task to the AI.
  2. Asset Management: I often need to drag-and-drop new documents, reference PDFs, or promotional images into the working directory, and then prompt the AI to process them.
  3. Asset Verification: I need to verify that the images or reports generated by the agent actually exist and look correct in the folder.

Proposed Solution: Please introduce a built-in, lightweight File & Asset Explorer panel directly inside the Antigravity 2.0 Desktop App. It does not need to be a code editor, but should allow users to:

  • View the directory tree.
  • Preview common assets (images, PDFs, documents).
  • Open files using their OS default applications (e.g., opening an Excel file with Microsoft Excel, or an image with the default system viewer).
  • Support basic drag-and-drop file operations.

Expected Benefits: This would bridge the gap for non-developers, making the Antigravity Desktop App a truly user-friendly and self-contained workspace that doesn’t force non-technical users into confusing coding environments just to manage their files.

Thank you for considering this feedback!
