Pricing of Search Grounding in Gemini API

I just saw the announcement that Search Grounding is available in Gemini API and in Google AI Studio. Here is the doc. However, I could not figure out how much it costs? The pricing page does not include search grounding yet. Does anyone know the pricing?

The pricing page now includes grounding.

But to summarize:

  • Available in the AI Studio UI free
  • Not available on the free tier API
  • On a paid tier API it is $35 / 1000 requests with a limit of 5000 requests / day. (So 3.5 cents per request.)

May I know when we use grounding with google search , if the context fetched from google search is considered as Input tokens or not,

Also how is the grounding requests considered, Is It the number of Input query, or the number of web searches done or the number of websites which got parsed.

For eg - If an input query contains multiple topics to be searched , multiple web searches would be performed for the single input , Does each of these web searches would be considered as separate grounding requests
