Clarification about Google Search quota limits across Gemini models (2.0, 2.5, etc.)

Hi everyone,

I have a question about the daily quota and billing for the Google Search grounding feature when used with the Gemini API.

As far as I understand, you get 1,500 grounded requests per day, and after that it costs $35 per 1,000 requests.

My question is:
If I use multiple Gemini models (for example, Gemini 2.0 and Gemini 2.5), does the 1,500 daily quota apply across all models combined, or does each model have its own separate quota?

I’m asking because I’m currently seeing unexpectedly high costs, and I’d like to understand how the request counting works when using different models in the same project.
