Subject: A simple idea from an everyday builder to save Tokens (and Google’s money!)
Hi Google AI Team,
My name is Benali Lakhdar. I’m not a software engineer, nor do I hold any tech degrees. I’m just an everyday builder who uses Google AI Studio to turn ideas into reality.
I love using the platform, but I keep running into a small frustration: every time I need to change something tiny—like moving a button, changing a card’s background color, or editing a bit of text—I have to write a new prompt and wait for the AI to regenerate the whole thing.
Honestly, it feels like a waste of my free daily tokens—and frankly, a waste of your expensive server compute power for such small visual tweaks!
My Proposal:
Could we get a simple Visual Canvas / Direct Editor in the Preview window? Just a lightweight way for us to click, drag, change colors, or edit text directly on the screen without involving the AI model for minor cosmetic changes.
We would use the AI for the heavy brainwork, and handle the quick visual tweaks ourselves. It’s a win-win for everyone!
