Text preview option missing from AI Studio

Hi - I recently noticed that the “Text Preview” option is missing from Google AI Studio. It was a great way to just get the text content of the prompts and switch between structured and unstructured prompts. The documentation here still shows the option: Google AI Studio – Kurzanleitung  |  Gemini API  |  Google for Developers.

Any particular reason why this option was removed and can it be added back?

Hi @Hasan_Baig if you’re specifically interested in the token count, you’ll find it in the right panel below the model dropdown.
And thanks for flagging the documentation mismatch! We’re working on updating our docs with the recent changes - we’ll make sure to fix this one as well.

Given the ‘Preview’ doesn’t include the plain text anymore - it seems there is no simple way to Ctrl-A and copy a whole conversation.

Is this intentional?

Is there a way to export a conversation as a plain text?

Hi @keertk-google - The text preview was really helpful for exporting the entire prompt as text and we used it for various use case. I would recommend that the functionality be added back. It can be even moved under “Get code” functionality, but having the plain text was quite helpful.
