Paying for Gemini Advanced/Google One should increase your 50 RPD Rate Limit for Gemini 1.5 Pro

I’m trialing Gemini Advanced, but I find that Google AI Studio is a much better program for my needs.

You’d think that paying for Gemini Advanced would increase your RPD for Google Studio, but it doesn’t.

I would definitely pay the $32 AUD/month for an increased RPD in Google Studio instead of Gemini Advanced.

Would it be possible to make this change?

They are completely separate programs. Gemini Advanced is built using the Google AI Studio’s API. You can get higher rate limits by switching to a pay-as-you-go plan. I hope this answers your questions.

Why would that work?

Google AI Studio is built for developers distributing apps that use Gemini - it’s not supposed to have per-user perks

Paying for a personal plan means personal benefits :stuck_out_tongue:

And what Grandell said - they’re two entirely different programs and there shouldnt be any change in AI studio.

I also dont get it. Why is AI studio (which i free right?) Way better with more features then the paid advanced? Makes zero sense, is advanced being dumbed down for the masses a plus to be paid for? Super wierd, its worse in every way

It. Is. Not. Complicated.

Seriously. Like, I’ve got a big dilemma with which AI service to pay for my personal use, and OpenAI model’s have really got worse, so I’ve went to Gemini as it is more creative and more open. The problem is this: gemini.google.com has very little user customization. Sure, I can talk forever there, but the flexibility is very low.

So I don’t understand why we get zero benefits for the AI Studio. Because not everyone uses it for a business or study project. Me included. If we can’t increase rate limits via the paid plan, surely we should be able to increase it through the 30 or so dollars we already pay. It’s not hard. Spread the word!
