Hello,
My project is on Paid Tier 1 but I cannot set up or fund the Prepay wallet, so
the Gemini API cannot be used at all. Posting the exact details, since I’ve seen
other users hit the same wall and that a HAR file from the failing click is what
is needed to investigate.
CURRENT STATE
- Billing account: “Conta eduvm” — ID 009DA2-713DFD-6990..
- Linked project: “Quase Organico” — ID gen-lang-client-09823641..
- AI Studio Billing page shows: “Paid 1 — US$ 250 account-level limit”, 1 project
- The same page shows: “US$ 10 qualified GCP credits”
- The same page also shows: “No prepayment method has been configured for this
billing account. Prepayment is required for this billing account.”
THE FAILURE
Clicking “Set up prepayment” immediately returns:
System error.
Something went wrong. We're working to restore the service as quickly as
possible. Close this window and try again in a few minutes.
The setup flow never opens. Without a prepaid balance there is no way to use the
paid API, so the account is stuck.
WHAT I HAVE ALREADY TRIED
- Verified in Cloud Console that the billing account is active with a valid
payment method attached - Confirmed the project is correctly linked to that billing account
(billingEnabled = true) - Clicked “Set up prepayment” several times, on different days
- Tried from the AI Studio Billing page
- Tried in an incognito window with all extensions disabled — same “System
error”, so this is not a local browser or extension issue
WHAT I AM ASKING FOR
Could someone please inspect the billing state of this account and project on
the backend? I am happy to purchase the prepaid credits — the problem is that
Google’s own interface will not let me complete the Prepay setup. Please don’t
send me back to the “Set up prepayment” button, since that button is precisely
the part that is failing.
I can capture a sanitized HAR file of the failing click and provide screenshots
of the “Paid 1” status, the “no prepayment configured” message and the System
error — just ask and I will attach them.
