New Conversations are inaccessible

new issue now , my message are just not appearing in the chats itself . I can see a “ .pb “ file made today , but the “past conversation“ tab shows nothing from the latest . new convos are not being registered at all unless i have selected a workspace folder . This was not the case before the last few updates . also for some reason those .pb files that are not showin up , when opened in notepad , look like some Japanese or Chinese text for some reason , I was talkin only in English . pls help .
