Problem:
My Antigravity chat history disappears after quitting the app or restarting the Mac, but the local conversation files still exist in:
~/.gemini/antigravity/conversations/
What I observed:
repositories/projects are still there
conversation .pb files remain on disk
chat history UI is empty after restart
Versions tested:
1.20.5
1.19.6
1.16.5
What I tried:
restarting Antigravity
restarting macOS
reopening folders/workspaces
reinstalling over the existing app
downgrading versions
clearing non-conversation UI/index state
Result:
No version restores the chats in the UI.
Evidence:
I can provide screenshots of the empty history UI and terminal output showing the .pb files still present in ~/.gemini/antigravity/conversations/
Current conversation files visible on disk include examples like:

@Abhijit_Pramanik, I’m experiencing the same issue on my new company’s MacBook (despite it having worked fine on my 2 other MacBooks).
I’m suspicious if my company’s IP proxy (JumpCloud) is interfering with the Electron backend retrieval, causing a race condition error to occur during Antigravity’s startup that prevents the conversation history from loading into the UI.

I am also having the same issue; all the chat data .pb files are on my local machine, but Antigravity can’t display it in the chat history tab. Looks like they have not fixed this issue. Many people are facing this problem from long time; they have not fixed it yet, need to fix it asap, chat history is very important.
