Dear Nanobanana Developers, Help needed:
I’m running into a blocker with Nano Banana Pro in Vertex AI Studio—all my fashion ecommerce image generations (underwear product photography) are suddenly failing with IMAGE_SAFETY, even though the content is editorial, non-explicit, and for legitimate business. Same prompts worked fine before. Could something have changed recently?
*I’ve already checked all the safety settings that I can set but the image generations are all blocked at the final generations even though I’ve set up the safety settings(Allow to generate sexual content)
I’m happy to share my business details (website, registration, service info) to verify legitimacy if that helps. Feel free to reach out at Modified by moderator if you need examples or more details.
ERROR MESSAGE The response could not be completed because the generated images may contain unsafe content (finishReason: IMAGE_SAFETY)
Could you please share the prompt you have been using to generate images with Nano Banana Pro to check if there are any specific words triggering safety settings?
Hi @Sonali_Kumari1 ! Thanks for your reply.
The prompt that I used is
text prompt : Change the perspective to frontal eye level view. a medium shot, capturing from face to knee, capturing the person's face and head fully visible, the image is cropped around the pereson's knee. . Use the exact same person in the reference Image 2 as a person in the final image. The final image must have the same face identity as the reference Image 2.A premium underwear lookbook aesthetic, set against a dark black horizon studio background.
reference images : 1 woman’s top/bottom underwear product image on white background, 1 person’s face image
I’ve looked through https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/safety-settings this settings, and of course set “BLOCK_NONE” for the safety settings.
But it looks like the result is filtered from the output image, not from the prompt since the finishReason is “IMAGE_SAFETY” (https://ai.google.dev/api/generate-content#FinishReason).
This was not happening few weeks ago.
I can send you an email for the exact same reference images and more detailed error, let me know please.
Hi @hm_park , Thanks for sharing the prompt. Could you please share the reference image via direct message so that we can reproduce this issue on our end?
