Missing "Reset Conversation" button in Builder

Hello, I am experiencing a UI bug in Google AI Studio. The ‘Reset Conversation’ button (refresh icon) is missing from the Code Assistant interface in one of my projects, making it impossible to clear the context.

Observations:

  1. The console shows ‘Restoring from Automatic snapshot’.

  2. The button ms-button-icon with aria-label="Reset the conversation" is not present in the DOM.

  3. I tried clearing LocalStorage and reloading, but the state persists.

Please assist in resetting the state of this project.

I checked the Reset Conversation button on my side and it’s working normally. Please try refreshing the page or clearing the browser cache. If it still doesn’t appear, let me know and I can help look into it further.

Same problem, and thing become very annoying as the history become so long and the page become unresponsive even with typing.

I’m experiencing the same issue with the reset button disappearing. I’ve tried all suggestions by @Nireeksha_K_A but the issue persists.

Hey everyone, I managed to get around the problem! :hand_with_fingers_splayed:

I went to Google Drive, navigated to the AI Studio folder, found the project that was missing the reset button, and simply created a copy of it right there in Google Drive.

Then I opened AI Studio, and the copy was there, and this time it had the ‘Reset conversation’ button!
