The thread here seems to suggest that members of a google family group should receive similar benefits to the family group manager. In this case, I should get my own set of quotas, which I would expect to be equivalent to the manager’s tier (Pro) rather than Free. Unfortunately, my quotas appear to be set at the Free tier and Antigravity lists my plan type as “Free” in the Account Settings window.
Something to note is that I had an active subscription when I joined the family group. My sub ran out and I expected the family group sub to take over from there for uninterrupted pro tier service. This did not happen and my plan dropped down to free even though I’m in a family group.
Here was the order of operations:
- Account 1 (me) signed into Antigravity and used it
- Account 1 (me) signed up for Pro tier
- Account 2 (group owner) signed up for Pro tier
- Account 2 (group owner) created a family group and invited me
- Account 1 (me) joined the family group
- Account 1 (me) Pro tier subscription expired
- Account 1 (me) antigravity quotas and plan reset to free (even though I had already joined the family group)
- Account 1 (me) signed out and signed back in to Antigravity (no success)
- Account 2 (group owner) signed into Antigravity to test and verified that Account Settings show “Google AI Pro” and has correct quotas
- Account 1 (me) signed back into Antigravity and quota/plan returned back to Free
At this point, either AG quotas do not actually get shared with family group members or my account is stuck in some kind of bugged state where it thinks it’s free because the sub ran out but hasn’t been reset to reflect family group privileges. I have considered leaving and rejoining the family group but I don’t know if it will actually let me rejoin the same group and I don’t want to trigger the 12-month lockout from leaving a family group.
I have also verified my region (US), age, and eligibility for antigravity. Not sure what else to do other than maybe create a brand new account just for antigravity and add that to the family group to see if it works.
I have read these similar threads but my issue is different (I tried to hyperlink all three but new users can only post two links at a time, so these are the thread titles):
[Antigravity does not recognize Pro subscription] - This user is the primary account / not in a family group. It is unclear whether AG is reporting Free or Pro tier for them, only that they have limited quota similar to free tier. I have limited quota AND ag is incorrectly reporting Free tier.
[Antigravity not recognizing Google Ai Pro subscription] - This user was in EU region and it turned out to be a credit card / payment profile related issue. I am in the US and so is the payment profile of the family group manager
[Antigravity Eligibility Error for Google AI Pro Family Member (Region Supported, Age Verified)] - This user is getting an eligibility warning. I am not. AG allows me to sign in and use it. I just have very strict quota limits that are the same as Free because AG thinks my plan is free.
