Hello! I’m trying out the Gemeni API for the first time.
I’m sending images, about 2-5MB and a little text, maybe 900 input tokens as logged by the metadata? I have a very fast connection.
I see many, many 503s in the Logs dashboard and my requests take between 20-120 seconds. Am I doing something wrong with my requests? The AI Status page says ‘All Systems Operational’
Same here Jason and i am not sending images, just trying to search google. It has started today… any tips ?

Thanks for getting back to me.
I see this intermittently, for example right now. Often it manifests as just slow responses due to internal retries in the SDK, but when I check the dashboard, I see failures there. Currently it’s a 504 not a 503, same from queries issued via the AI Studio.
Perhaps the incidents are temporary, but they seem to occur repeatedly and without acknowledgement?
