1. Absence of Clear Documentation I cannot find a clear, official explanation for the recently updated credit system. I have searched through the Antigravity documentation pages, but the information is either missing or extremely ambiguous. While some Google-badged staff have left brief comments on certain threads regarding credits, those piecemeal responses are far from sufficient. If there is a centralized, well-organized resource explaining these changes, please provide a link.
2. Inconsistent and Opaque Quota Tracking I am fine with the concept of introducing credits while potentially adjusting the internal 5-hour and weekly quotas (though I suspect these internal quotas have been reduced, as many users have noted). However, the current quota gauge in the IDE is completely erratic.
-
The gauge often drops to 0% even when I haven’t used the service.
-
It is unclear whether the UI represents the 5-hour reset quota or the weekly limit.
-
Competitors like Claude provide clear, real-time feedback on both short-term and weekly usage.
The current lack of transparency makes it feel as though users are being misled. It is hard to believe that Google—home to some of the world’s most talented engineers—is “unable” to implement a simple, accurate usage dashboard. This suggests a lack of will rather than a lack of skill.
3. Sync Issues and Lack of Support Responsiveness Last week, my IDE quota suddenly hit 0% despite no usage. While I had used the Pro model on the web, and can accept a unified quota system, the behavior was inconsistent: the web quota reset after a few hours, but the IDE remained locked. I have submitted issue reports and posted on this forum previously, yet I have received zero response. I understand that the system is evolving due to high demand, and as a light user, I am willing to wait for resets. However, the total lack of communication is infuriating. It feels as though Google has adopted a “take it or leave it” attitude, treating users as subordinate rather than valued customers.
Closing Thoughts I initially chose Antigravity because it was incredibly convenient and offered generous limits. I understand that resources are finite and restrictions may be necessary as the user base grows. However, the current handling of these changes is deeply disappointing.
I am taking the time to write this because I still believe Antigravity has significant advantages over other AI services—if these transparency issues are resolved. But if these glitches and the lack of explanation continue, I will have no choice but to migrate to a competitor, even if their raw quotas are lower. Trust is the most important factor, and Google needs to realize that in this hyper-competitive AI market, users will not stay with a provider they can no longer trust.
