I am an AI Pro User. A new member. I started my trial in February and converted to paid member on 3/8. Ever since, my experience has not been good.
Claude Models
On 3/8, I went through my five hour quota on the Claude models, within 1.5-2 hours of work. Which is ok. When it refreshed, it said I was at 40% quota for the week. I stopped using it to preserve quota. On the morning of 3/10, I used it to write a commit message for recent work. No change in quota when I stopped working. In the evening of 3/10, I logged in and quota was down to 0% for the week. Effectively, the weekly quota became the same as a single five hour quota. That’s an issue. Even worse was the disappearing quota.
Gemini Pro models
On 3/9, I was using Gemini 3.1 Pro (Low). I got to 60% of the five hour quota and stopped using it. When it refreshed the five hour quota, it was at 100% for the five hours. Morning of 3/10, same thing. When I logged back on in the evening of 3/10, it dropped to 60% available of a week’s quota. Effectively reducing the week quota to be the same as a single five hour session. Once again, not good.
Conclusion
Using Antigravity feels like I’ve been cheated. I understand the need for quotas. But quotas once set, should not be changed within the time period itself. Also, the lack of transparency of exactly how many tokens are being used per query and stating the total quota amount is infuriating. It makes it impossible to plan for how to use my quota effectively. Ultimately, I think the reason Google is not transparent is they don’t want to make it explicit that they are changing the quotas mid period (because that would look even worse).
What started off as a fantastic experience has soured. Adding insult to injury was the tweet that changed the mindset from (paraphrasing) “generous limits for pro” to “try it out.” And it completely ignored to vanishing quota for no use. Feel like the rug got pulled out from under me just as I was starting.
I feel disheartened and I am frustrated.
