Known Issues with Stitch

Hello,

I would like to inform you that I once again have access to my project spread across my three accounts. I have been able to download all my projects (just in case it malfunctions again).

Did you find a solution?

Just a heads-up, the loading issue is resolved and all data is secure. Please let us know if you have any further trouble. Thanks for your patience.

Hello everyone, I love stitch, great work from the team !

These are the “bugs” that I belive i’m experiencing:

  • Asking it to use the exact same design (example mobile app tabs) from one screen into another still doesn’t execute and keep old design.
  • CTRL + Z didnt act on screens but rather on the chat input box. (I nearly lost all my screens doing that).

Update:

  • chat is not aware of deleted screens and keep talking about them and suggesting changes for them.

Hey @Younes_Aberkane thanks for highlighting this, I appreciate the input!
Regarding your first query: our dev team has confirmed they are working hard on ensuring design consistency across all screens within a project.
For the second: this isn’t standard behavior for Stitch. I tested it and it’s working on my end, just make sure to click on the canvas first before hitting Ctrl/Cmd+Z to undo deleted screens.

Hey all,

I am new to design and coding and have been trying out Stitch for the first time. I have tried various things and have been reading to find the answer already but no luck.

I have been using the stitch prompt guide including getting gemini to help translate my ideas into accurate prompts from your suggestions here, So i figured i would get decent results.

Unfortunately I am struggling to get designs which do not have these background squares in. They seem to be coming up in a variety of colours not related to my requested pallet. Stitch and Gemini both told me various reasons why, "‘it being part of the structure that Stitch uses to layout the page’ or ‘potentially around design style words i might be using like ‘modern’ or ‘geometric’.’ So i retested around 10 times with different prompts that it suggested, including exclusion type prompts. Then also with once sentence type prompts for something very basic, no luck.
The only success I have had is when asking the pattern to be completely removed in editing.

I am yet to be able to create a design from the first prompt which doesn’t have this.

Has anyone else experienced it? Is there a solution/what am i doing wrong?

Many thanks,

Matt

Hey @Matt_7 thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the design world! Did you specify a particular theme in your prompt? For example, if you use a basic prompt like ‘Create a gym home page to manage schedules and member updates,’ does it still produce squared themes? I recommend starting a new project with a simple prompt first, then selecting specific screens to refine them further.

Hey Rishabh,

Thanks for the reply, I tried your prompt and it worked. Then I tried a simple on in the direction of my project, and i got two pages, one with and one without the same effect.

I will try and keep it simple and build it up but i am confused how these squares come into the mock ups at all. Has this been sense before in certain situations that i should avoid?

Hi Risabh,

I hope all is well! I’m having a huge issue with not being able to access my project. Upon reloading the page and opening my project in a different tab I approach this screen. Please let me know possible solutions and if this bug will be patched.

Hey @Matt_7 thanks for writing back! We haven’t had this specific issue reported before. We tried to reproduce it using several different prompts but weren’t able to see the same result. Could you try using some simpler prompts first? Also, please ensure there aren’t any conflicting details in your prompt that might be causing the glitch.

Oh! thanks for reporting this, @jet_mejia. To confirm, does the screen remain blurred after a page refresh? Please try a full browser restart to clear any local cache and re-access the project. If the issue persists, I will escalate this as a bug to our team.

I will try simpler prompts, at present actually trying to run the project through Antigravity and seeing how Stitches MCP integration helps that.

Should i share some of the prompts i used which created this issue?

Perhaps on a DM?

Sure @Matt_7 Please feel free to share a few of those prompts with me via DM. I’ll try running them on my end to see if I can reproduce the issue.

hi there, i am having trouble getting a consistent navigation tools between screens. i want to have a pop out side bar that navigates between modeules in a section and then have sections at the top but it just wants to always re-do it. It would be amazing if you were able to create some windows that could be combined between pages on the site that once you locked in the navigation stuff it would remain consitent and then you can focus on the bigger “work or context” window. happy to show prompts or files but i try and say keep all of that part the same and only change this one part. very frustrating and hurting the experience of an amazing app that is letting me try and build a lot that is in my head.

due to the Infinity screen every time I add more information to the panel The user interface gets smaller and smaller and I can barely the chat box anymore how do I fix this?

Sorry about the trouble, Aaron. Following our big update last week, I recommend giving your prompts another go. Don’t forget you can use Direct Edits to modify individual design elements instead of the entire layout. If you’re still looking for something different, send over some screenshots and I’ll get a feature request logged for the team. Thanks!

Hey @Sonjiaonfire sorry you’re hitting a snag! I didn’t quite catch the specifics of the issue yet: could you walk me through it or share a quick screenshot? It’ll help me get the right info over to the devs. Thanks for the assist!

Rishabh, Thanks for the reply so the individual edit only works with one single element. i can’t seem to be able to select a region or more then one item. I can try and do some looms to show you the issue if that would be helpful?

I just tried it for the first time; using the ideate prompt to generate something. after redirecting me to the canvas screen and then showing the response in the side panel (asking for a variant to proceed with), i cannot see any input field to respond and continue the chat. i can only start a new one at the bottom.

Hi there, i did some design mockups with 3.0 flash today. It worked fine. Just around 10 prompts. And now flash 3.0 is not really working, as soon i prompt it stays in an endless thinking loop, without generating any results. Anyone else observed the same? I didn’t got any other error messages or similar.
