I’ve been getting this error since this morning. Agent terminated due to error.
And whenever I retry or continue, it restarts the whole process that we did 3-4 prompts ago and duplicates things.

The Issue:** The Antigravity environment became unstable, resulting in “Agent Terminated” errors and code duplication. Upon investigation, the root cause was aggressive internal duplication and artifact accumulation.

Observations:

• Redundant Progress Files: Over 90 task_progress files and 20+ implementation_plans were being stored in the active memory.
• CodeTracker Bloat: The CodeTracker folder contained dozens of duplicate conversation snapshots from single-day sessions (e.g., 30+ folders for Jan 14th alone).
• Storage Exhaustion: Continuous screen recordings were consuming significant disk space and metadata bandwidth.

Impact: Whenever a new prompt was initiated, the AI attempted to index this entire history to establish context. This bloated the context window, exceeded token limits, and caused the model to “hallucinate” by referencing outdated logic from previous task iterations.

The Resolution: Make sure you are deleting the correct files.

1. Manual Purge: Deleted all .resolved, .metadata, and numbered progress files.
2. Cache Reset: Cleared the CodeTracker, brain, and browser_recordings directories.
3. Context Consolidation: Established a single CONTEXT.md as the “Source of Truth” to replace the need for historical file indexing.

Current Status: The environment is now stable and responsive. The agent is correctly referencing the current codebase without interference from legacy artifacts.

1. Navigate to ~/.gemini/antigravity/brain/.
   *.resolved: These are just logs of completed plans. If the code is already in your lib/ folder, these are useless.

2. *.metadata.json: These are internal “receipts” that the AI reads every time it scans your project.

3. task_progress_*.md: These are old drafts. Delete everything except the very last one (the highest number).

4. Look at the folders by “Date Modified.”

5. Delete only the old folders: If you are working today, you can usually safely delete folders from 3 or 4 days ago.

6. Repeat for ~/.gemini/antigravity/code_tracker/history/.

4. The “Browser Cache” Wipe

The browser_recordings folder is often the secret reason for the “Token Limit Exceeded” error.

• Action: Open this folder and delete all images/videos.

• Result: This doesn’t delete your code or your conversation, but it stops the AI from trying to “upload” heavy images to the cloud every time you send a message.

I’m amazed that Google isn’t even trying to help. Why should I, even with the most expensive subscription, have to put up with this?
