Issues with Arabic Language Support: Small Font Size and Lack of Right-to-Left (RTL) Text Direction

I would like to bring to your attention an issue I am facing while using the AI Studio platform with the Arabic language, and I hope you can assist in resolving it to improve the user experience.

  1. The font size is small and tiring to the eyes:
In both the writing area and the model’s response display, the current font size is very small, making reading difficult and uncomfortable. Please consider increasing the font size to around 18 to 20 points instead of 16 or less.
  2. Lack of support for right-to-left (RTL) text direction:
When writing in Arabic, the text direction is not properly supported, as the text appears to start from the left instead of the right, both in the input area and in the model’s responses. This negatively affects the clarity and ease of reading.

I would also like to express my great admiration for your outstanding tools and your wonderful policy of providing these tools for free to students and developers. I highly respect and appreciate this approach, and I hope you continue offering such excellent services.

Thank you for your efforts, and I look forward to future updates that will greatly improve my experience and that of Arabic-speaking users.

Best regards,

Hey @Youssef_Ayman — thank you for raising these important points, and for your thoughtful feedback!

:white_check_mark: Font Size: You’re absolutely right — readability is key, especially for longer interactions. Increasing the font size to 18–20pt would definitely improve comfort and accessibility, especially for users spending extended time in the interface.

:white_check_mark: RTL Support: Proper right-to-left (RTL) rendering is essential for Arabic and other RTL languages. It’s surprising that this isn’t fully supported yet in both the input and output areas. Fixing this would make a huge difference in clarity and usability for Arabic-speaking users.

Your appreciation for Google’s tools is noted, and your suggestions are both practical and inclusive. Hopefully the Gemini and AI Studio teams take this feedback seriously and prioritize these updates in future releases.

Thanks again for advocating for better multilingual support — it benefits the whole community!
