I have an annual Google AI Pro subscription and would like to use the official Antigravity CLI alongside Codex to develop my software projects.
My goal is to use Antigravity as a separate coding assistant, including potentially assigning development tasks programmatically through Codex.
I would use Google’s official Antigravity CLI with its normal Google OAuth authentication. I would not extract, share, export, or reuse OAuth tokens in another application.
Could a Google Antigravity team member please clarify:
- Is using Antigravity CLI alongside Codex for software development permitted?
- Can Codex programmatically invoke the official Antigravity CLI and assign development tasks while Antigravity manages its own authentication?
- Is this workflow permitted under Google AI Pro subscription terms, including using the subscription’s Antigravity quota?
- If external task orchestration is restricted, is there an officially supported alternative that uses my existing Google AI Pro subscription?
I want to comply fully with Google’s policies and avoid risking my annual subscription.
An official response from the Google Antigravity team, ideally referencing the applicable terms, would be greatly appreciated.
Hi @ALAMDAR_BALOCH,
Welcome to the Forum,
While we cannot provide formal legal interpretations of the Terms of Service (Google Antigravity - Terms of Service), here is how our documented features and policies apply:
-
Using both tools on a project: You can use Antigravity CLI and Codex independently on the same project. However, Section 6 of the Terms of Service (Google Antigravity - Terms of Service) and our FAQ (FAQ | Google Antigravity Docs) prohibit using third-party software, tools, or services to access or power Antigravity.
-
Having Codex invoke agy CLI: While agy offers a documented headless mode (Headless mode - Antigravity CLI | Google Antigravity Docs) (agy -p) for your own local scripts and CI pipelines, we do not support using third-party coding agents (like Codex, Claude Code, OpenClaw, or OpenCode) to orchestrate or wrap agy under a consumer login. Routing third-party agent prompts or automated loops through Antigravity can trigger automated ToS enforcement and account suspension.
-
Google AI Pro quota: Standard headless CLI runs use your Google AI Pro quota and rate limits just like interactive sessions (Plans | Google Antigravity Docs).
-
Supported alternatives:
• With your Google AI Pro subscription: Use the interactive agy CLI, headless mode (agy -p) for direct scripting/CI, official IDE extensions (IDE extensions | Google Antigravity Docs), or an ACP-compatible editor via the Agent Client Protocol registry (ACP Registry - Agent Client Protocol).
• With third-party coding agents (like Codex): Use a Google AI Studio or Gemini Enterprise API key instead of your Antigravity login.
