I’ve been using AntiGravity for about a month and it’s been amazing. However, ever since last Thursday (Feb 12th), we can no longer generate images from within AntiGravity. I’ve tried on my work account (Ultra) and home account (Pro). It returns “503 no capacity” error. I’ve sent many support requests, with no response, tweeted to AG, sent feedback from within AG to no avail. An Ultra subscription will be around $4k a year - so I’d expect that software that costs that much would have some support response to an outage.
I’ve tried multiple models of agents.
Error are mostly:
Error: model unreachable: UNAVAILABLE (code 503): No capacity available for model gemini-3-pro-high on the server: UNAVAILABLE (code 503): No capacity available for model gemini-3-pro-high on the server: model api cannot be reached
According to Gemini Itself:
The error you are seeing (503 Service Unavailable / Image failed to generate) confirms this is a server-side infrastructure failure, not a problem with your account or prompt.
• What is failing: The specific backend service that routes requests to the Nano Banana Pro model (the high-fidelity image model included in your Ultra plan).
• The Cause: Recent reports indicate a TPU v7 capacity shortage in the US/North American regions. The “Nano Banana” model is much more compute-heavy than the text models (Gemini 3 Pro); when the grid is congested, the image generation service is the first to shed load, resulting in immediate 503s.
• Why AntiGravity is affected: The AntiGravity IDE requires a higher consistency check than the standard web app. When the “feature-management service” (which handles your Ultra authentication for the Pro model) times out, the agent terminates the entire tool execution rather than falling back to the lower-quality model, causing the “Agent terminated” loop you are seeing.
STILL not working as of today, Feb 18, 2025.
Can the agent be directed to fall-back instead?

Hi @Outlines,
Welcome to the Forum,
Thank you for flagging this. While 503 errors are often transient capacity spikes, a week-long outage for an Ultra/Pro account indicates a more persistent regional bottleneck that we need to investigate.
I am currently able to generate images on my end, which suggests this may be isolated to specific clusters. To help us troubleshoot, could you please clarify the following:
- Has this been a total ‘blackout’ (failing 100% of the time) since February 12 or have you had any successful image generations?
- Which general geographic region are you connecting from?
- If you switch to the Gemini 3 Pro (Low) model, does the image generation tool still return a 503 or is the issue limited only to the Pro (High) model?

Hi @that.Steve,
That is a great question. Currently, Antigravity does not have a native ‘Auto-Fallback’ toggle in the UI. However, you can direct the agent to handle this via your instructions.
If the image generation tool (Nano Banana) returns an error or is unavailable, do not terminate the session. Instead, provide a detailed text-based description of the UI/image and continue with the next task

Hi,
Great to hear from you! It has been a 100% fail for the week. Both on my work computer (Ultra) and I tried last week immediately when I got home on my own Pro acct.
It never creates an image.
I am in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.
It was working 100% of the time perfectly for about a month before. I updated 6 websites and it was awesome.
So, all I can do now is update non-image content - which is of course great. It just saved a lot of time when I could generate unique images on-the-fly.
I switched to low and even to fast and they all fail to create images.
Let me know if you need any other info.
David
Hi @Outlines,
Thank you for sharing the details. This has been escalated to our engineering team for investigation. To ensure our engineering team can investigate and resolve these issues effectively, we highly recommend filing bug reports directly through the Antigravity in-app feedback tool. You can do this by navigating to the top-right corner of the interface, clicking the Feedback icon and selecting Report Issue.

Hi, and thanks for escalating this! I have reported via the in-app feedback tool a number of times already so they should have them. (as there was no result it’s what lead me here). I appreciate your assistance. FYI I tried again just now from here in Edmonton, on my pro acct 6:30am to no avail.
Will they let me know when it’s fixed?
(p.s. thanks a lot)

What geographic area do you live in (it might help them)? I’m in Alberta Canada - they were thinking it’s a regional outage, as others are able to do images.
I upgraded to the new AntiGravity version yesterday (which allows Gemini 3.1 Pro (High) and tried generating an image. It worked one time.
I surmised (and the agent I asked yesterday agreed) it might be working because the new 3.1 hadn’t gotten too busy yet.
Today, I have tried to generate an image on another page and it’s failing again.
I’ve tried and it gets to “generating” and a grey box just sits there pulsing, but an image never shows. I submitted another feedback from within AG.
