I have lost conversation history in the with early update app

Since version 1.18.3, there has been a persistent session loss issue, which has persisted through six updates, including version 1.20.4, without resolving the problem. Version 1.16.5, which did not have this issue, is now marked as unsupported and requires an update.

With no luck on mac.

Linux here, rpm install: antigravity-1.20.4-1772837549.el8.x86_64
The last history is 15d ago across all of my ~8 work-spaces.

I tried the ā€œsyncā€ trick , the folder vs workspace workaround, the reinstall, but
nothing shows the sessions of the last ~15 days.

After the reinstall, it does show my ā€˜test’ conversation, so maybe I at least have an accurate session history from now on.

Running AG 1.20.4 on Ubuntu and I encountered the same problem. I asked AG to summarize the last x conversations. Once it did, I asked it to ā€œbring back conversation Y with its artifactsā€ and it obliged. Still, this bug needs to be fixed.

Thank you for bringing the issue with lost conversation history to our attention. Our engineering team is currently investigating the matter, and we appreciate your patience as we work toward a resolution.

Can’t believe our engineering team start to notice this bug after so many users have suffered it.

I tried removing the entire user folder. Then it works on single opened folders, but creating and saving a workspace and then restarting the computer and loading up the previous conversation, it just keeps loading forever never finishing. This error keeps repeating in developer console:

Edit: Now the other conversations from single folders also break the same way, issue seems related to workspaces (as soon as adding more than 1 folder to a workspace)

On Mac, I downgraded to 1.16.5 and now I can see all history again.

was a workaround. but not anymore.

Do you mean 1.16.5 isn’t showing you your history?

It’s still working for me though.

I also turned off automatic updates to stay on the downgraded version till this is fixed.

Same problem here. I may start two or three conversations to see if anything gets saved and when I click ā€œPast conversationsā€, there’s nothing there.
This is a real deal breaker because all the context is lost. There’s no way to continue.
It’s a waste of tokens, and there’s no way to keep progress in a project. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

I can’t believe this has been an issue for more than a month and hasn’t been fixed (as a newly introduced bug!) Basically makes AI in AG unusable for anyone with a multi-root workspace.

are you in workspace? just remove the .workspace file

:folded_hands: I’ve literally been working without history for 2 months … I can’t believe that worked.

this worked for me on mac. but it auto updated the app, i can run it till i start it now

Can’t believe I found this thread, seems I am not the other one… thought I did something wrong.

I cannot view any conversation or workspace prior to the latest update. This is a massive bug… and workspaces is a great concept but designed poorly… first feature request, enable renaming your conversations and do not auto update

Workspaces supports not correctly.

I had this problem today, yesterday everything was fine. then I found this thread, so I tried to revert the version, reverted to 1.18.4 (1.19.5 didn’t work) and it worked, then it automatically updated again to 1.20.5 but my chats were still there. Just to be safe I’ll disable automatic updates from my side. I also had a workspace file, I deleted but it didn’t work apparently until I reverted the version.

I’ve created a simple fix and a GitHub page for it. To use it, just close Antigravity, run the file, and restart. It will restore your conversation history safely. The project is safe and open-source, so you can see exactly how it works under the hood. If it helps you out, please leave a star! Cheers

Antigravity Conversation Fix

Binary have nothing to do with the source, please don’t anyone run this, clearly a trojan of sorts.
