If I enter my app in Google AI Studio’s My Apps, and then click Settings, then how to remove the Enabled status from Integrations? There’s no Disable/Remove/Delete button.
Hello @lwc ,
No. Currently, Google AI Studio does not provide an option or button in the App Settings interface to remove, disable, or delete an Enabled integration status once activated. As a workaround, please create a new app under My Apps without enabling the integration.
Thanks, that’s unfortunate. Is there nothing manual to ask the chat to get such a removal? I’ve tried but just got hallucinations.
New app is not realistic, but will the Remix option copy Integrations too? If not, that should be the solution.

Hey, Aakash here from Google - Every message in the chat is like a checkpoint. You can just scroll back to the message when you enabled the integration and use the restore button to restore the app to that message. But plz note that any changes made to the app post that message would be undo’ed as well. Do refresh the AI Studio browser tab to see the changes in the integrations tab.
Also curious, why do you want to remove the integration and how did you add this in the first place?
Thanks, but since it didn’t notify me “you won’t be able to disable it” I did many changes since and thus it’s not a valid option.
I want to remove it because it’s super limited. If I knew in advance it blocks the ability to use Service Account, I wouldn’t have enabled it in the first place. I’ve ended manually creating a Google Cloud project, created such an account and gave its id and key to Google AI Studio. So much simpler in retrospect.
So overall, this integration is both very limited and unremovable, which is quite a unfortunate combination.
For this app, you have created the service account manually and shared with AIS, that works. In the future, you could also just ask AI Studio via the chat to remove an integration if you don’t need it anymore. But this should follow with testing the app to confirm that there are no unintended side-effects.
Thanks, but please allow me to quote myself:
Is there nothing manual to ask the chat to get such a removal? I’ve tried but just got hallucinations.
By manual, If you mean clicking a button to remove the integration → No that is not supported as of today. let me know if you meant something else.
By “manual to ask to ask the chat” I meant if there anything I can ask the chat and get a real removal and not just hallucinations/fake ways to remove.
Majorly it should work when you ask the chat to remove an integration, As it’s AI, there might be some unintended side-effects which might need some iterations of test-and-prompt. But chatting with AIS to remove your integration is the way to go.
While it might majorly work, no matter what I did it couldn’t remove the integration. Can you kindly share the prompt which you feel should work?
