I don’t expect to see bumps in my application analytics, but the video analytics should present a few bumps in the days the judges will start checking the entries. Have you guys notice abnormal traffic in your videos?
Two new users last friday, and a bump in traffic in the demo app itself on that day.
Nothing at all unfortunately
Let’s hope they haven’t started yet. Lloyd mentioned in a post here (inderectly) that there will be a significant number of judges, so I expect we’ll see a slight increase in traffic on our videos during the judging period.
At this point, they are probably still watching videos/submission text and using the grading rubric. 3000+ is a lot.
Once grading is complete, they’ll likely pick 5-10 possible winners for each of the 10 award categories (mostly based on the grading) and start testing them. During the testing stage, if you are one of the lucky possible winners, they’ll email you for further clarifications especially if it’s not easily testable (not a live URL or app) or you’ll see your analytics increasing if it’s a live app.
Let’s hope this is the case, Thank you nevertheless.
How do you know this?
An educated guess. That’s why I said “probably” and “likely”.
Anyone have checked lately your video analytics in YouTube studio? Have you got unique watchers during October?
If I had to guess Id say that “Direct or unknown” is judge traffic. Maybe for each view in that category you made it to the next round.
That is only true if there were over 122 rounds because I suddenly got that amount of views in almost a single day around the end of September.
I dont know. Maybe they downloaded all Videos so there are no views by them at all.
Interesting, now I’m more confused
What is your project?
How many views in past 7 days?
You won’t be able to tell too much based on views. at this stage, it is mainly software testing, if nothing like in my case, I’d assume it didn’t go forward.
