Here is what google AI mode told me and worked to link the antigravity IDE 2.0 to vscode like it was before the update (for windows users):

  1. Go to C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Programs\Antigravity\.
  2. Locate the file named resources\app.asar.
  3. Rename it to app.asar.bak.

then launch the IDE and follow the steps to import your vscode config.

You might think that you have lost your past conversations but they are all on your drive. To recover them copy and paste this exact prompt in your IDE and follow the steps.

“After the recent update, I reinstalled the Antigravity IDE and all my past conversations are missing. Please help me migrate my old database and state files from %APPDATA%\Antigravity\User to the new %APPDATA%\Antigravity IDE\User directory.”

You will be asked to execute a script from powershell. Open powershell as admin and execute first:

Set-ExecutionPolicy -ExecutionPolicy RemoteSigned -Scope LocalMachine

Now I have my IDE 2.0 with the VScode and my conversations as before update

This was a horrible idea, without notice destroyed my workspace, with something I do not want at all, now Ia have troouble returning back to IDE version

Just go to VSC, open the project folder, and continue with the IDE pattern. Orchestrations made and verified by Antigravity will be implemented automatically into VS Code as usual, though you won’t have the IDE experience on Antigravity again. Like I said yesterday, we don’t know what improvements they might want to add. It’s Google, and we know that they have served us with the best all these years. We shouldn’t blast them because of a solution we think is not applicable to us…:grinning_face:

I HONESTLY BELIEVE THE CRITICAL COMMENTS O THIS TOPIC ARE GENUINE.

These are some o the things i think we can do to make good use of the newer version.

  1. Uninstall both the Antigravity 2.0 and the IDE(if you want to).
  2. Go to the their previous release version and install the 1.23.2 vesrsion.
  3. Make sure your Auto-Update is not on, turn off if on to prevent future upgrade implementation to your IDE.
  4. Then you can now install the 2.0 version and use it as a coding agent(if you want to).
  5. Now you have your IDE and Antigravity2.0 Coding Co-Pilot on the go

calld them out on this reading like a sell out’s ad post and this pretty much confirmed it IMO.
