Google AI Ultra for Business users cannot access Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity App or CLI

Hello Google Antigravity team,

I’m opening this thread to raise visibility around an issue affecting Google AI Ultra for Business (Google Workspace) subscribers who cannot access Gemini 4 Argon, despite having an Ultra-tier subscription.

This is specifically about Google AI Ultra for Business / AI Ultra Access, NOT the personal Google AI Ultra subscription. That distinction is central to the issue.

The issue

According to the official Antigravity Models documentation, Gemini 4 Argon is available to Google AI Ultra and eligible Enterprise users.

However, the documentation does not explicitly clarify whether the legacy Google AI Ultra for Business subscription is included under the “Google AI Ultra” category or whether it has different model entitlements.

I’m using a Google Workspace account with Google AI Ultra for Business, and Gemini 4 Argon is missing from both supported Antigravity surfaces.

Environment

  • Subscription: Google AI Ultra for Business (Google Workspace)

  • Antigravity 2.0 App: v2.23.0

  • Antigravity CLI: v1.3.5

  • Issue: Gemini 4 Argon appers but is not available in the model selector.

  • Surfaces tested: Antigravity App and Antigravity CLI.

This is not related to the legacy Antigravity IDE, where Argon is explicitly unsupported.

This is not an isolated report

Another user has already raised the same issue:

Gemini 4 Argon not available for Google AI Ultra for Business

In that discussion, a forum representative referenced the Google AI Ultra model availability table and asked users to verify their application versions and subscription recognition.

However, the fundamental question remains unanswered: Is Google AI Ultra for Business officially entitled to Gemini 4 Argon in Antigravity?

Referencing personal Ultra benefits does not necessarily resolve a Business Ultra entitlement issue.

Clarification requested from Google

Could someone from the Antigravity or Google Workspace team please provide an official response to the following?

1. Subscription eligibility

Does Google AI Ultra for Business (AI Ultra Access) include Gemini 4 Argon access in Antigravity App and CLI, or is this benefit restricted to personal Google AI Ultra and specific Gemini Enterprise subscriptions?

2. Possible licensing or entitlement issue

If Business Ultra subscribers are eligible, is Google aware of a problem preventing Workspace subscriptions from receiving the correct model entitlements?

3. Rollout status

Is Gemini 4 Argon still being rolled out to Google Workspace Business Ultra accounts? If so, is there an expected availability date?

4. Documentation transparency

If Business Ultra subscriptions have different model availability or are no longer eligible for the same Antigravity benefits as personal Ultra subscribers, could Google explicitly document these differences?

5. Resolution or escalation

Is there a recommended workaround, administrator configuration, or support escalation path for affected organizations?

Why this matters

Organizations have purchased and assigned Google AI Ultra for Business licenses expecting clearly defined access to Google’s premium AI capabilities.

When the documentation lists “Google AI Ultra” as supported without clarifying the distinction between personal and Business subscriptions, it creates confusion for paying enterprise customers.

If this is a rollout or provisioning issue, acknowledging it would help affected customers understand the situation.

If the subscriptions have different entitlements, those differences should be explicitly documented rather than leaving Business subscribers to discover them through missing models.

I’m not asking for additional features beyond our subscription’s actual entitlements. I’m asking Google to clarify what those entitlements are and whether the current behavior is expected.

An official, unambiguous response from the Google team would be greatly appreciated.

I’d also encourage other Google AI Ultra for Business subscribers specifically experiencing this issue to share their subscription type, Antigravity version, and whether Gemini 4 Argon appears in their model selector.

Thank you.

Same problem here! I opened a ticket yesterday but they told me it’s because of the model rollout, but it seems strange to me. I think there’s a problem with Ultra for Business accounts… I see gemini 4 in the list but it tells me it’s not accessible with my plan. Neither on CLI nor on Antigravity (non-IDE), both updated to the latest version

Ultra business is afaik treated the same way as jio pro, hence no third party models starting november, no ultra only features in-app, and no argon.

Kinda makes sense

This doesn’t make any sense, it costs as much as a Personal Ultra plan, why should I have less?

Well except for that small detail of unlimited usage, and that its a deprecated service where they offer free early cancellation.

Hi @oli_hipmn, I understand your point, but I think there’s an important distinction between discontinuing a subscription for new customers and honoring existing annual agreements.

Our company entered into a paid annual agreement with Google specifically to access its premium AI capabilities, including new model releases. Google’s own transition notice states that annual subscriptions remain active until their next renewal.

Also, despite Ultra for Business being discontinued for new purchases in May, our accounts still received Gemini 3.8 Flash, released in September. So the model catalog clearly wasn’t frozen at the time of discontinuation.

Of course, that doesn’t automatically guarantee access to every future model, but it does raise a reasonable question: why were some new models made available to existing Business Ultra subscribers, while Gemini 4 Argon wasn’t?

I think it’s fair to expect an official explanation from Google rather than assume that a discontinued subscription necessarily means reduced access during an active paid contract.

That’s really the clarification we’re looking for here.

Well, i see your point, but nothing is lost, except, well, the claude models.

And 3.8 flash is better than anything that existed at the time of our last renewal (ie 3.1 pro.. )

If anything, i would say that the disabling of in-app features, is worse, ex. the teamwork thing. Not that id ever use it personally, but still.

I wouldve liked to see a way to at least pay for argon usage, because its not possible to auth as business + std oauth for ultra business accounts, so you cant use argon at all unless giving up ultra business

You can’t be serious with this.

I want a clear, official position directly from Google on this issue. We pay for premium business licenses expecting access to Google’s best and most capable models—not to be handed a downgraded experience compared to an individual consumer account.

If business users are paying more only to receive a second-class service with restricted model access, Google needs to state that explicitly. Otherwise, you are losing customer trust. If this isn’t clarified and resolved, our budget and renewal money will simply go to another provider next year.

Additional update from my side:

I checked again in Antigravity CLI, and the message shown for Gemini 4 Argon has now changed.

It now explicitly says:

“Unavailable - Gemini 4 Argon is currently available to Ultra and paid Pro plan subscribers.”

This is helpful because it confirms that Argon is being made available to paid personal tiers, but my Google AI Ultra for Business account still does not have access.

That makes the issue more specific: this no longer looks like a general availability problem, but rather a Business entitlement / licensing clarification issue.

In other words, Ultra and paid Pro subscribers are explicitly recognized, while our paid Business Ultra subscription still appears to be excluded or not properly recognized.

I’m sharing this as additional evidence that the problem is specifically affecting Google AI Ultra for Business customers.

AGY CLI Version 1.3.5

What makes you think its a problem? Ultra business has never recived any consumer pro or ultra entitlements.

Hi @oli_hlmpn, I appreciate your perspective, and I think we’re actually closer in our concerns than it might seem.

My point isn’t that a discontinued subscription should receive every future feature indefinitely. It’s that our company has an active annual agreement, and Google’s own transition notice states that annual subscriptions remain active until their applicable renewal.

The fact that we received Gemini 3.8 Flash after the plan was discontinued also shows that new model releases weren’t categorically excluded. That doesn’t automatically guarantee Argon, but it does make the argument that “the plan is deprecated, therefore no new premium models” insufficient on its own.

I also agree with your point about not even having the option to pay for Argon while maintaining our existing Business Ultra subscription.

Ultimately, we’re not asking the community to determine what Google owes us contractually. We’re simply requesting an official clarification from Google’s Antigravity or Workspace team regarding the entitlements of existing annual Business Ultra agreements.

If Argon is intentionally excluded, that’s something Google should explicitly confirm and document, including how it affects contracts that haven’t reached renewal.

That’s really all we’re trying to establish here.

I want to add a bit, I tried to buy a new Ultra for Business license and I recive this message:

There is the possibility that we pay for 1 Year subs for something that now is no supported anymore?

This also does not work for AI ultra Gmail accounts, phoned Google and they said it could be related to rollout in territories, they said they will get back to me with an answer as they said it should work on my sub.

Yes, had you missed it was deprecated july 7th?
