Google AI Studio permission denied in Sharjah, UAE

Hello,

Google AI Studio was previously working for me, but I can no longer access it.

I receive the error “Failed to list models: permission denied. Please try again,” followed by a redirect to the Available Regions page.

I am accessing the service from Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The UAE appears on Google’s published supported-regions list. My Google account indicates that I am over 18, but I cannot find a page confirming whether my age verification is complete.

Could you please advise how I can resolve this issue or request a review of my account’s eligibility?

Please try the below steps:

  • Make sure you’re in one of the supported regions.

  • Turn off any VPN, proxy or iCloud Private Relay, and connect directly.

  • Make sure you’re 18 or older and have verified your age.

  • Try a different network, for example your phone’s hotspot.
