Google AI Studio is EXTREMELY laggy and slow.

Let me explain…

I have 32 GB of RAM and should NOT be experiencing any lag when using a site like Google’s AI Studio, but as of recently, with the new UI change, the site has been EXTREMELY laggy.

Is anybody else experiencing lag?

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Go to Google’s AI Studio
  2. Create a new chat.
  3. Just start talking, and it will lag.

Detailed Description:

  1. Go to Google’s AI Studio.
  2. Chat with the AI, or just navigate the UI.
  3. You’ll notice that it starts to lag A LOT. And I mean a lot.

Here are some videos show casing the unbearable lag.

Video shows:

  1. Laggy UI.
  2. Laggy typing.
  3. Lag when chatting.
  4. Lag when doing anything on the site.

Anything that can help me fix this would be appreciated.

After Testing…

After testing, enabling “Graphics Accelerator when Available” on Google Chrome stops the lag, but causes bugs and glitches within the screen, which resemble screen tearing, but only for google chrome. No other tab does it. I shouldn’t have to have graphics accelerator when available turned on in order to use ai studio.

Hi @King_Gaming_Roblox, Thanks for reporting. I just checked with my two systems (16 GB, 8 GB RAM), i am not experiencing much lag. Can you try clearing cache else if issue persists, will try to raise with our team.

Hi, I was messing around in the settings of my computer, and when I turned on “Graphics Accelerator When Avilable” on, it would fix this issue, BUT for some reason ONLY on Google Chrome Browser, with that setting on, my monitor does screen tearing, and it only happens on google chrome.

The issue still happens, and I don’t know how to fix it without doing the graphics accelerator thing which causes screen tearing.
