I have 32 GB of RAM and should NOT be experiencing any lag when using a site like Google’s AI Studio, but as of recently, with the new UI change, the site has been EXTREMELY laggy.
You’ll notice that it starts to lag A LOT. And I mean a lot.

After Testing…
After testing, enabling “Graphics Accelerator when Available” on Google Chrome stops the lag, but causes bugs and glitches within the screen, which resemble screen tearing, but only for google chrome. No other tab does it. I shouldn’t have to have graphics accelerator when available turned on in order to use ai studio.
Hi @King_Gaming_Roblox, Thanks for reporting. I just checked with my two systems (16 GB, 8 GB RAM), i am not experiencing much lag. Can you try clearing cache else if issue persists, will try to raise with our team.
Hi, I was messing around in the settings of my computer, and when I turned on “Graphics Accelerator When Avilable” on, it would fix this issue, BUT for some reason ONLY on Google Chrome Browser, with that setting on, my monitor does screen tearing, and it only happens on google chrome.
From last recent changes i think, it also started lagging again on my brave browser, and even microsoft edge, idk just someone has to test it and well, makes an just smooth ui just like usual websites do, i dont know why this keeps happening, seems like something is very wrong coded or optimized, its kinda annoying that this keeps happen every now and then to new changes
I’ve also experienced this, and it’s very inconvenient on low-spec computers. I don’t think it’s a Chrome cache issue, but the AIGoogle homepage isn’t very user-friendly, like remote control. There are too many unnecessary features, and lots of floating menus. I previously used AI Firebase Studio and created several programs, and it even felt comfortable there. AI Google Studio should be better than AI Firebase Studio, not worse. I can even create programs on a Windows 7 laptop. It’s very helpful, especially when it comes to hardware limitations. Not everyone has high-end hardware.
Please, the AI Google Studio team, improve the homepage. Also, avoid having too many floating menus. It would be better to put them all in the settings menu and a new tab.
Yes, the AI Gemini interface is very lightweight, or similar to AI Firebase Studio. That’s great. I’m a big fan of AI Firebase Studio.
You (the AI Google Studio team) ultimately sell things like hosting servers, real-time databases, and so on. should provide the easiest and lightest tools to your potential customers like me, should support chrome win 7 also
I’m running a 128gb machine and if I’m watching youtube while using the app the videos stall, lag and break all the time. However, sometimes if I open a new tab covering the video it plays normally.
Either way, it’s not our specs causing these lags.
It’s their code.
