1.この提案の背景
今のGeminiは口調の設定や役職の指定をしたい、そのチャット内でこの資料を永続的に参照してほしい、などを初心者などが分かりやすい形で実現することが難しいです。なぜなら、それ専用のものがないからです。そこで、チャットをしながらリアルタイムでAIをカスタマイズできる「簡易ジェム」と、それ関連の新たな機能を、現役小6ユーザーの私が提案いたします。
2.提案詳細
- 簡易ジェム
- 概要：プロンプト欄の下にある展開ボタンをクリックすると、入力欄からニョキッ、と伸びるような形で設定画面が出現します。左側には「カスタム指示」、右側に「知識（ファイル参照）」を配置。こうすることで、チャット履歴を引き継ぎながらも、Geminiにはここにあるカスタム指示やファイルを常に最優先で処理させることができます。これにより、どれだけ会話が長くなってもチャットの最初に行った口調や役職の指定などを忘れることがなくなり、快適なユーザー体験を提供し、ユーザーはますますGoogleエコシステムから脱出することができなくなるのです。
- 後付けジェム
- 概要：サイドバーのチャット履歴一覧の中の選択中のチャットの横に、「お気に入りボタン（星形やハート形）」を追加します。このボタン一つで、気に入った簡易ジェム設定を本当のGemとして保存できます。これにより、前述の簡易ジェムにより生まれた新たな不満、「たまたま成功した設定を手間なくGem化したい」という願いを叶えられます。
3.有料プランへの加入促進
仮にこの機能を実装したとします。そうすると、簡単にGemを作成することができ、Gem自体の知名度が向上します。ということは、新たな有料プランへの加入を促進するチャンスが生まれるわけです。知名度が向上したGemを作成する限度を設け、有料プランに加入すると限度はなくなる、とします。こうすると、簡易ジェムとGemの便利さを捨てられなくなったユーザーが有料プランに加入する可能性が出てくるわけです。そうなると、Googleは新たな機能を実装しただけで有料プランのユーザーが増加し、収益も増加するわけです。ですがこれはユーザーの反発を招く恐れがあるため、やるかどうかはGoogle様次第です。
このUI変更により、利便性は格段に向上し、Googleエコシステムも強化されると思います。実装してくれると嬉しいです。あと、添付の画像も見てください。

Background of This Proposal
The current Gemini makes it difficult for beginners to easily achieve things like setting a tone or specifying a role, or wanting to permanently reference this document within that chat. This is because there’s no dedicated feature for it. Therefore, as an active sixth-grade user, I propose a “Simple Gem” that allows real-time AI customization while chatting, along with new related features. -
Proposal Details
- Simple Gem
- Overview: Clicking the expand button below the prompt field causes a settings panel to pop up, extending from the input area. It features “Custom Instructions” on the left and “Knowledge (File Reference)” on the right. This allows Gemini to prioritize processing these custom instructions and files while maintaining chat history continuity. This ensures that no matter how long the conversation gets, the initial tone or role specifications from the start of the chat are never forgotten, providing a comfortable user experience. Users will become increasingly unable to escape the Google ecosystem.
- Retroactive Gems
- Overview: Add a “Favorite button (star or heart shape)” next to the selected chat in the chat history list on the sidebar. With just this one button, users can save a favorite Simple Gem setting as a real Gem. This fulfills the new frustration born from the aforementioned simple Gems: the desire to effortlessly turn a randomly successful setting into a Gem.
- Promoting Paid Plan Subscriptions
Assuming this feature is implemented, users can easily create Gems, increasing the Gems’ own visibility. This creates an opportunity to promote subscriptions to new paid plans. Set a limit on the number of Gems that can be created with increased visibility; subscribing to a paid plan removes this limit. This could lead users who become reliant on the convenience of both Simple Gems and Gems to subscribe to paid plans. Consequently, Google would see increased paid subscribers and revenue simply by implementing this new feature. However, this risks user backlash, so whether to proceed is entirely up to Google.
This UI change would significantly enhance convenience and strengthen the Google ecosystem. I’d be thrilled if it were implemented. Also, please take a look at the attached image.
