Gemini Pro in Antigravity thinks 2026 is in the future

I was using Gemini to port my website to Markdown. It offered to add some links as references for some assertions I had made about the War. But when I checked the links they all gave 404 errors. So the links were just made up! It then explained why it thought 2026 was in the future:

I wonder if this is because the AI model for coding is trained or weighted differently than the general search model.

I asked Gemini.google.com and it gave me several current and high quality links. It was much better than the coding agent. It must be tuned to consider current events.

So be careful when a coding agent offers to do non-coding tasks.
