Gemini Deep Research Exports Don't Use My Default Google Docs Page Size

I like the “Deep Research” option of Gemini, but when I export these reports to Google Docs, they’re always on the wrong paper size and the wrong margins. (And why don’t Docs use the Metric system?
It would be great if I could just specify the default page size for all exports in Gemini? Because I love to print these documents for offline reading. (Meaning, far away from technology.)
Anyways, I asked Gemini for a solution and it said:

The “Set as default” functionality is a common point of user feedback for Google Docs, especially for people using external integrations. The best way to get this feature added is to submit feedback directly to Google.

• In a Google Doc, go to Help > Help Docs improve or Help > Send feedback.
• Clearly explain the problem: “When I export a document from a service like Gemini Deep Research, it doesn’t use my default page size settings. Please add a feature that allows my default page setup to be applied to all new documents created in my account, regardless of the source.”

Or share it here, in this forum. Then more people see this message and upvote and respond to it and Gemini finally becomes smarter.
(Also, this title was Gemini’s idea, not mine. )

That is an interesting insight. Could you please share some more details, such as which Gemini service you are using and how you are exporting the document?

This would be the Gemini app from https://gemini.google.com/app when doing a Deep Research. When you select the option “Export/Export to docs”, the default page size is set to ‘Letter’ with margins of 1 inch on all sides. But I use ‘A4’ size paper and have set margins a lot smaller. (0.4 inches.)
And why doesn’t Google Docs use the metric system, as all the sane people in the World do?
