I’m developing a private, noncommercial Google Apps Script automation to organize my own Gmail account.
The application would use the paid Gemini API to classify incoming emails by category and importance. Only the sender, subject, and a short, locally redacted preview would be transmitted. The application is for my personal use, with no external users or commercial distribution.
The current Gemini API Additional Terms state that the service is intended for professional or business development, not consumer use.
Does developing and running this personal Gmail classification automation qualify as permitted use of the paid Gemini API?
If not, is there a Google-supported API or alternative service appropriate for this use case?
