Gemini API Paid Services Usage

Hello,

I’m trying to get some clarity about the Gemini API paid services usage. The terms(Gemini API Additional Terms of Service  |  Google AI for Developers) currently mentions the below:

“You may use only Paid Services when making API Clients available to users in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom.”

So does that mean that an API client can only use Paid Services in regions mentioned above? So if i add bulling in google console then my gemini API client can only be available in these regions?

The requirement to use paid Gemini API services for users in the EEA, Switzerland, and the UK doesn’t mean that enabling billing will restrict your app’s availability to only those regions. Billing just allows you to comply with that specific requirement if you have users there. You control where your app is available. Let us know if anything else comes up.
