Hello,
I’m migrating an application from ChatGPT to Gemini, and it’s a complete disaster.
I convert data into JSON format and the application has been running with ChatGPT for a year without any issues.
Here, from the very beginning, Gemini started having bugs with recitation. I checked GitHub and found out that this is a known issue dating back to last year (only increasing temperatures helps sometimes). It persisted from version 1.5 to 2.0. Also, many cases where json was surprisingly invalid.
Then, a week later, I received an account suspension for violating unspecified rules. No explanation of what rules were violated or where.
I submitted an appeal and got this response:
“We regret to inform you that your Gemini API project will remain closed due to egregious/multiple violations.”
I checked every term of Gemini api and did not find any “egregious violation”.
What exactly was violated and where? I submitted another appeal and replied to their email, and received no response. How supposed to understand what the violation was and its nature?
I have reported bugs in the ChatGPT API multiple times, and they responded and fixed very quickly.
Here, there is absolutely no feedback—how can this API be used if an account can be suspended at any moment without any information about what went wrong?
