I am requesting a manual review of my Gemini API Free Tier access.
My Google AI Studio projects are showing:
- Status: Restricted
- Billing Tier: Unavailable / Set up billing
- Gemini API access is unavailable
I originally created a project called “Pedtalk,” which was immediately restricted.
To test whether the problem was specific to that project, I created a completely new Google Cloud project called “Gemini Test” and imported it into Google AI Studio. No API key has been created and no Gemini API requests have been made from this new project, but it was already marked Restricted immediately after import.
I have also completed Google account security steps, including phone verification and 2-Step Verification.
I am trying to use the Gemini API within the Free Tier and am not requesting paid billing.
Could you please manually review the restriction on my account/projects and let me know what is preventing Free Tier access?
