Gemini API 403 PERMISSION_DENIED on all API keys

I am developing a legitimate student project, InterviewIQ AI. Every Gemini API key and project I create returns:

403 PERMISSION_DENIED: Your project has been denied access. Please contact support.

I tested six different API keys, restarted my backend, and tested gemini-2.5-flash. The issue persists across keys, so it appears to be an account-level or project-access restriction. Please review my Gemini API access.

Could it be you’re using old API keys? The format has changed so you need to recreate them.

If it’s not that, then your project/account has triggered some flags for some reasons, you should contact the Google Cloud support.
