Gemini 2.5 Pro reverted to older model?

I specially moved to google ai studio from canvas because model choice can be controlled in here, but today Gemini 2.5 Pro started to speak as some other weak model again starting each time with Hello! and wasting time because it spoils existing code and does not do what I ask it. Will it get back to normal? Is it some limits issues? Why it’s written that it’s still 2.5 Pro model if in fact it has switched to something else?

Hi! I have only google one subscription and also api key in trial version, I don’t know if that’s subscription you mean. (But I did not connect api to app, it’s not used).
Now I’ve tried to find the prompt in the chat history and now everywhere it’s written gemini 3 preview, even if before I switched to it it was written gemini 2.5 pro, but I guess it happened after this prompt “Check why the map constantly moves beyond the screen, even though I have movexy blocked and it should just stay in the center.”

Also as the same problem already happened to me before in canvas mode (I guess it was gemini 3 pro which also swiched to something different). It happened weirdly - I’ve got two responses from gemini in a raw, and one of them was also duplicated:

Hi! Just wondering…Is your team planning any solutions for returning gemini 2.5 pro and fixing issues with gemini 3 in general? I’d live to finish the app, google ai studio is great, but i can’t do anything right now :frowning:
