Feature Request: Native GitHub Integration for Direct Code Commit & Synchronization

Hello Gemini / Google AI Team,

I am an Informatics (Computer Science) teacher and developer from Uzbekistan, actively building classroom-oriented AI tools.

Pain Point:
Currently, using Gemini in the web interface requires continuous manual copy-pasting of modified code blocks into local or remote repositories. For complex files, this causes frequent syntax errors and breaks workflow momentum.

Feature Suggestion:
Introduce direct GitHub OAuth integration within the interface (or via a lightweight agent mode). With explicit user authorization:

  1. Allow Gemini to read the target repository file.
  2. Directly apply targeted diffs/patches to the branch or commit changes with one-click approval.

Why this matters:
Tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot are demonstrating immense demand for repo-level synchronization. Bringing native GitHub integration directly into Gemini’s web environment would make it the undisputed daily driver for millions of educators, students, and developers globally.
