Currently, LaTeX formatting is only supported in the Markdown Preview. I would like to request adding proper LaTeX rendering support to the standard viewer (as IDE always opens all the files AI writes in it and tables are rendered nicely, but not the LaTeX formulas) and the Agent Window (AI Chat Window).
The Issue:
When asking the AI for help in solving mathematical programming tasks, it frequently uses LaTeX inserts for formulas. Reading raw LaTeX code directly in the chat dialogue is extremely inconvenient. Currently, my workflow involves constantly copying the AI’s response and pasting it into an MD file just to see what the formula actually looks like.
Proposed Solution:
It would be incredibly helpful to have LaTeX rendering directly inside the AI Chat and the standard viewer. I am not suggesting that formulas must be forcefully rendered at all times, perhaps a simple toggle switch in the chat UI or an inline rendering button could be implemented.
Having the ability to view formulas in their proper, rendered form directly in the chat window would massively improve readability and the overall user experience.
