Hello Gemini Team and Community,
I am writing to request an essential user-control feature for Gemini’s Memory / Saved Info functionality.
The Problem
I am using Gemini Pro via Jio recharge (India).
- Memory feature is working: Gemini remembers facts I tell it and uses them in future chats.
- However, there is no option to Edit or Delete individual saved memories/facts.
- In Settings → Personal context / Saved info, either the section is missing or it shows the list but no Edit/Delete controls.
Currently, the only way to remove a wrong or unwanted memory is to:
- Delete the entire conversation from myactivity.google.com/product/gemini,
- Use “Delete all activity”, which also removes all my chat history.
This is not user-friendly and goes against basic data-control rights: users should be able to manually manage what the AI remembers about them.
What I Expect (Feature Request)
Please enable the following for all consumer and telco-bundled accounts (like Jio Gemini Pro):
- Saved Info / Personal Context UI
- A dedicated page (e.g., gemini.google.com/saved-info) showing all remembered facts.
- For each fact: Edit and Delete buttons.
- Granular Memory Control
- Ability to delete specific facts without deleting entire conversations.
- Option to temporarily disable Memory for certain topics or chats.
- Consistent Rollout
- Ensure this feature is available not only on pure @gmail.com accounts but also on partner/telco-bundled plans (e.g., Jio Gemini Pro in India).
Why This Matters
- Users often share personal, sensitive, or time-bound information (e.g., health, finances, exam plans).
- If a fact becomes incorrect, outdated, or private, users must be able to remove it easily.
- Other AI assistants already provide editable memory lists; Gemini should match this standard.
My Account Context
- Account type: Consumer (Jio Gemini Pro, India)
- Platform: Web + Mobile
- Memory: ON
- Gemini Apps Activity: ON
- Issue: Memory works in chat, but no Edit/Delete option in Saved Info / Personal context
