Failed to load Application from Drive: permission denied

is anyone currently facing this error when trying to access their “Apps” in the Build menu,

Failed to load Application from Drive: permission denied. Please try again.

I just saved my work and got back to resume working until I got this error, and now I cant seem to access the work anymore.

Any tip would be highly appreciated.

I had something similar, which I solved in this way:

  • open a new tab page.
  • Go to GMail or another Google page where you have to log in.
  • If you’re logged in on that page, log out.
  • Log in to your Google account.
  • Close the tab and try again in AI Studio.

Sometimes your login has expired or something else went wrong. By logging in again on another page, you basically refresh it again. In my case, my Google login was expired, yet AI Studio won’t tell that. Which is why logging in again helps.

appreciate your solution Katje, I have tried it, but does not work, all the other apps that I build under the build page seem to load except for this specific one.

I have tried these already:

  • Removed all extensions
  • Tried incognito mode
  • Revoked and allowed G Drive access to ai studio

just a update, so I managed to locate the webapp on my G Drive, made. copy of it, yet its not working,

I tried to download the file, when I was surprised to see this

“WEBAPP” is infected with a virus.

This file might harm your computer, so only download this file if you understand the risks.

this is literally a simple app that shows grocery store prices from Cloudflare R2, No Clue whats going on.

Could you please confirm whether you developed this application in AI Studio or you are trying to load app developed locally to AI studio?

If you developed it in AI Studio and saved it in drive it should show in “Your apps” section on AI Studio. Even if you make a copy the copy should also show in AI studio “Your apps” section. But it is important to note that app must be stored in Google AI Studio directory in G Drive.
