The kind of technology that AI is, best be grateful we got it for free at all. Even a free tier is extremely useful and if you are using it for profit, only fair that a technology that has been in development since the 60’s and finally is usable gets paid a fee. This technology is extremely powerful! Trust a problem to find the problems, trust a solution to overcome the problems.
Hi! Yes, I’ve upgraded to a paid plan. But what do I see? I’m constantly getting error 429 and can’t use the service at all! Is it even possible to develop anything under these conditions? And I’m even more worried about expecting everything to work properly when, even after upgrading to a paid plan, it doesn’t work!

This 429 is the problem. Charge me for the tokens. I expect that, that’s why I asked for them. But saying I can’t make more than a few 300-1500 API calls/day ON TOP OF all the other restrictions? You’re losing customers Google. We want things that “just want” and having to count our 429’s does NOT fall into that basket.

This would not be a problem if Google hadn’t insisted on thrusting Gemini into every single one of its public apps. If Google knew that demand would far outpace computing capacity, they should have considered that ahead of time. The end user should not suffer for a bad business decision and engineers should not be taking the heat for what I sincerely hope is just Google corporate being out of touch.
