Deleted app in Studio

Hello, I accidentally deleted my master application workspace from my Google AI Studio dashboard today (June 4, 2026). The app was deployed using the Google Cloud Starter Tier and was accidently deleted due to a misunderstanding with Gemini (provided wrong instructions and instead of “unpublishing”/undeploying the app was deleted.)

I need support from a backend engineer to check the project row and restore this deleted workspace to my account dashboard. It contains massive amounts of custom prompt engineering and work guidelines that I cannot afford to lose. Please let me know what account identifiers you need to locate the database record. Thank you.

Hello,

I completely understand how stressful it is to lose a master workspace, especially one that contains massive amounts of custom prompt engineering and critical guidelines. Please don’t panic—since the deletion happened just today (June 4), your data is well within the 30-day recovery window and is highly likely still recoverable.

Before we escalate to the backend, please try this immediate recovery step: In Google AI Studio, workspaces are synced with your Google Drive. When a project is deleted from the dashboard, the underlying file is often just moved to your Drive’s Trash.

  1. Open the Google Drive associated with your AI Studio account.

  2. Go to your Trash and filter by “Last modified” for June 4, 2026.

  3. Look for a file (it might match your workspace name or have an unusual name like applet_access_history.json). If you find it, right-click and select Restore.

  4. Go back to AI Studio and refresh your dashboard.

If the file is not in your Drive Trash: I will immediately escalate this ticket to our backend engineering team to restore the project row. To help them locate the exact database record and your Cloud Starter Tier deployment, please reply with the following identifiers:

  1. Google Account Email Address connected to your AI Studio.

  2. The exact Name of the Workspace/Project.

  3. The Google Cloud Project ID (if you remember it or can find it in your Google Cloud Console).

  4. The approximate Time and Timezone the deletion occurred.

Please let me know if the Google Drive trick works! If not, send over the details above, and we will do everything we can to get your critical work back online.

Hi,
I checked my Google Drive Trash and unfortunately it’s not there.
Is there somewhere private I can provide the necessary information?
The deletion occurred at June 4, 2026 around 17:30 (GMT+3)
Thanks

Hi,

I understand your concern regarding the missing files. Since the files are not in the Trash, it is best to contact Google Drive Support directly for authorized recovery assistance.

You can submit a formal recovery request through their official help center here:

https://support.google.com/drive/answer/1716222

Please be sure to provide them with the exact timestamp you mentioned (June 4, 2026, at 17:30 GMT+3), as it will be very helpful for their investigation.

Best regards,

Hi,

This is not an issue in Drive, as the app never reached Google Drive. It was deleted from AI Studio, and I was prompted to connected Drive to Studio only after my attempts to recover the app, so it was never even there. I need to retrieve it from AI Studio, and it’s not there under “Resources pending deletion” either.

Do you have a similar support link for AI Studio to submit an official recovery request from AI Studio, not Drive?

Thanks
