CRITICAL BUG: Persistent Infinite Loading in Code Assistant / Firebase Studio Projects

Affected Platform: Google AI Studio (specifically the Code Assistant / Build App feature, which appears to be Firebase Studio)

Issue Summary:
My existing projects in the Code Assistant interface are stuck in a state of infinite loading, rendering the content completely inaccessible. This issue has been persistent for a long period of time and is preventing me from continuing development.

Specific Project Affected (as seen in screenshot):

  • Project Name: Advanced-wellplate-insight

  • URL Structure: The project is loaded directly from Google Drive, as indicated by the URL: aistudio.google.com/apps/drive/...

Steps to Reproduce (Observed Behavior):

  1. Navigate to the Google AI Studio / Firebase Studio “Your Apps” list.

  2. Click on any old project (e.g., “Advanced-wellplate-insight”).

  3. The interface loads the project title and the left-hand “Code Assistant” panel.

  4. The main content area (where the Preview, Code, and Full screen tabs are located) remains entirely blank/black, showing a continuous loading state or simply nothing at all (see attached image).

  5. This state persists indefinitely (e.g., for over 30 minutes).

Troubleshooting Performed (Confirms Client-Side Environment is Clean):
I have already tried the following steps with no resolution:

  • Cleared all browser cache, cookies, and site data.

  • Attempted to load the project in an Incognito/Private browsing window.

  • Tried accessing the project using a different web browser.

  • Performed a hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R).

  • Attempted to switch to the “Code” view (the file structure fails to load or remains blank).

  • Disabled all browser extensions (e.g., ad-blockers, VPNs).

  • Confirmed stable internet connection.

Request:
Since all client-side troubleshooting steps have failed, this appears to be a back-end synchronization issue, a project corruption problem, or a bug within the Firebase Studio environment itself when loading Drive-linked projects.

Please investigate this as a priority, as it is causing a total loss of access to existing work. Thank you.
