I’m reaching out to see if anyone else is experiencing widespread 401 Unauthorized errors with the Gemini API.
Since approximately 04:30 CEST today, I have been unable to perform tasks through my custom applications that rely on the API. This includes image generation, extracting data from PDFs, and even slightly complex logic requests that were functioning perfectly until that time.
The issue has persisted for over 12 hours across all my projects. I am getting consistent 401 responses, even though my API keys have not been changed, rotated, or restricted on the Google AI Studio side.
Has anyone encountered a similar service degradation or knows if there is an issue with authentication tokens/API stability currently? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
