Google Antigravity users on promotional, partner-bundled, and discounted subscriptions deserve clarity about model availability and upcoming model removals.
Many of us chose Google AI Pro because of the overall value of the subscription, including access to powerful AI models for serious software development. Some users subscribed through carrier partnerships, while others rely on student discounts or introductory promotions.
However, Google’s current model eligibility rules exclude certain promotional subscribers from Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Claude Opus 5.5, while older third-party models are scheduled for removal on November 2, 2026. Meanwhile, Gemini 4 Argon is currently restricted to Ultra subscribers in Antigravity.
This raises legitimate questions about transparency, fairness, and the expectations created by the Google AI Pro name when model access differs depending on how a subscription was obtained.
We are asking Google to:
- Clearly disclose model-access restrictions for every promotional, student, discounted, and partner-bundled subscription.
- Explain why subscribers paying for, or receiving, the same named plan may have significantly different model access.
- Provide a reasonable alternative when existing models are retired.
- Consider extending access to newer models or offering an equivalent benefit to affected subscribers.
- Clarify what options are available to users who subscribed based on the advertised benefits.
If you’re affected, share your experience, screenshots of the advertised offer and its terms, and any official responses you’ve received.
If the terms advertised to consumers materially differ from what they receive, affected users should consider contacting the relevant consumer-protection authorities in their jurisdiction to understand their rights.
This is a call for transparency and fair treatment across all promotional and discounted subscription programs, not just one carrier or country.
Let’s keep the discussion factual, document the differences, and ask Google for a clear and consistent policy.
