I keep getting this in AI Studio even though I am using a paid API key: “Failed to generate content: user has exceeded quota. Please try again later.”
Further, I have checked my quotas and I have used exactly 0 of my quota.

Yes, unfortunately still the same for me. I haven’t been able to use AI Studio or the API normally for almost two weeks now.
Hmmm, can you all pls share more details? What model are you using? Have you verified that it is on a paid API plan (chat the dashboard settings)? etc. Hard to debug here without more details but would love to help!
I definitely have linked to paid API plan, even went so far as to create a new project in Console and linked a new paid API key. I tried gemini-3-flash-preview, gemini-3.1-pro-preview, and gemini-3.1-flash-lite-preview. Each emitted the same error message and suggested I upgrade to continue. After an hour, I switched to a different platform. When I returned 24 hours later, it was working.
AFAIK, the google status page shows that there are still massive issues across the board:

What’s most frustrating is that I really like Gemini, but I can’t use it in production if it’s going to be this spotty. Even if Logan tried it, it seems it was still working for some end-users. Sounds like they have some real issues going on over at Google.

Can you share exactly what you were trying to do to help the team debug? And is your API key working outside of AI Studio? The team are looking into this.
I just asked a simple question regarding exporting to a SCORM package from Camtasia Studio. Here is the exact question:
