Can we get a clear explanation of the Quota usage criteria? Before people give up entirely and abandon Google!

Just like everyone else I have been frustrated by the smaller quotas initially after being locked out for 5 hours after only 20 min of usage.

Identified the likely cause as a large data file inadvertently copied over into the workspace folder, which apparently although the developers programmed the AI to ask permission for ABSOLUTLY EVERYTHING, were too lazy and failed to add in a check or warning prompt regarding letting the AI read and try to index and process very large data files consuming all your compute instantly.

Something along the lines of “Reading this file will likely consume massive amounts of compute quota, do you wish to proceed?”

I then saw the file so removed it and next morning greeted by the 3X increase massage so decided would give google benefit of the doubt. Strike 1!

Next day my quota was consumed in an hour and a half of doing very basic things like asking the AI to add in streamlit displays or help make a program for converting GZ files to feather. Not heavily taxing tasks. Only to be met with a 7 day lock with quota refreshing in 7 days.

Looked again to see if had any large files slipped in and workspace folder had only about 1.5 megabytes of .py and txt documents and had previously quarantined the AI with permissions from seeing or reading external files without explicit permission.

Only to discover the AI had actually created a .git object in a hidden .git folder that it kept reading to syphon up all the compute quota. Strike 2!

Got rid of that and apparently something happened on Google back end because the following day the 7 day queue reset had reset and was usable again.

For the next FOUR DAYS I continued to use Antigravity in the same ways that had previously resulted in running out of quota and had not a single time actually hit the quote and had to wait for a refresh.

Only to once again be threatened with a multi day lockout for quota refresh when had not hit a quota limit once in 4 days and had done nothing any heavier any one day than another and the workspace is still only about 2 MB of data and confirmed no large files hidden by the AI.

What is the point of having a separate rolling short term quota limit if not even using all of it will still allow you to end up suing up the weekly quota with no way to tell how much of each is actually used and what caused the usage?

If I get locked out for 2 days and have no way of determining what caused it or what I would need to change to prevent it int he future that will ABSOLUTELY be STRIKE 3 and google will end up loosing a loyal customer.
