Can Gemini API be used for educational app serving users aged 14-25

Hello Google/Gemini API team

I’m developing an educational application called Notix. It records lectures with the user’s permission and uses AI to turn the user’s own lecture transcript into study notes, flashcards, quizzes, and an AI tutor.

My intended audience is approximately ages 14–25, including high-school and university students. Some users may therefore be under 18.
I currently intend to use Gemini 3.6 Flash through the Gemini API, with the API key stored securely on my server rather than exposed to users.

I understand that the Gemini API terms contain restrictions concerning applications directed toward or likely to be accessed by people under 18. I don’t want to circumvent those requirements.

Could you please clarify whether there is an approved way for an independently developed educational application like Notix to use Gemini for users aged 14–17, such as an education, business, or other approved arrangement?

If the standard Gemini API cannot be used for this audience, could you please tell me what Google-supported option would allow this type of educational application to use Gemini while complying with Google’s requirements?

Application: Notix
Purpose: Educational study assistant
Target audience: Approximately 14–25
AI functions: Lecture summarization, study notes, flashcards, quizzes, and tutoring
Model: Gemini 3.6 Flash

API architecture: Gemini API accessed server-side; API credentials are not exposed to users

Thank you for clarifying the requirements before I launch the application
