[Bug] Paying $250/month for Ultra — Selected Claude Opus 4.6, but actually running Sonnet. This is unacceptable!

After today’s update, I selected Claude Opus 4.6 (Thinking) in the model dropdown, but the model consistently identifies itself as Claude Sonnet when asked. And also for Gemini 3.1-pro (high), with actually Gemini 1.5

I am on the Google AI Ultra plan. I am paying premium pricing for premium models, and I am not getting what I selected. If the platform silently downgrades Opus requests to Sonnet without any notification, warning, or transparency, then what exactly am I paying $250/month for?

I’m not entirely sure the agents know their actual models and/or versions. I had a brief chat with it the other day and it admitted as much, referring me to the dropdown (which itself may be inaccurate).
